Today we went to Haas and Peter's place to watch the world cup. The world cup is pretty cool because it feels like a truly global sport and that people from every country are watching. As Sean A. is a rabid fan of the Dutch, I went sporting Orange and toting a dish conceived by my husband to feature orange ingredients - bell pepper and apricot. The dish was delicious and it was great to see everyone, although our effort didn't help the Dutch pull out a win. Now that the games are over, I am not sure where I will go to get my vuvuzela fix...
[update: This recipe was an Israeli couscous with pine nuts, apricots, raisins, bell peppers, and cilantro in a lime vinaigrette from the Joy of Cooking.]
