Rockin out

Weekend before last, my husband and I took my youngest brother Patrick on a college tour to the Pacific northwest.  Over 3 days we say University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon State University in Corvallis, and University of Washington in Seattle.  We took literally hundreds of photos while trekking across hundreds of miles which I will share with you over the next few days.

So I thought I would start with the gyms.  University of Maryland (my alma mater) had an insane gym with lots of fun classes and activities, so that is something I look for at other schools.  I think a great gym can be an amazing recruiting tool and way to meet new people.   It is also pretty incredible that all three schools had major rock climbing walls inside major gyms (UW has 40k students, so you can imagine how huge their gym was).

University of Oregon

OSU - apparently the tallest rock climbing wall in the Pac 10

The rock wall at UW was closed, so we settled for this photo instead.
We had a great time exploring these campuses.  Although all three were beautiful - I think the group favorite was UW.  Seattle was grey the morning we saw the school, and it is probably a good thing as everything else was really great - we needed a little balance to be fair to the other schools we saw.  Is it too late to go back for round two of college?
